The Problem

A website that didn't match the business

Carpetizing had an existing WordPress website that was not optimized for their actual client base: property managers and strata councils in Metro Vancouver. The site lacked local SEO structure, had no B2B positioning, and did not represent the company's 50+ years of professional history. There was no structured data, no performance optimization, and no clear conversion flow.

The Approach

Proposed, approved, and built

I proposed a complete rebuild to the business owner. The scope included:

  • Full migration from WordPress to Next.js 15
  • New visual identity — typography, color system, and layout
  • Restructured information architecture targeting B2B clients
  • Service pages with conversion-focused copy
  • Local SEO architecture for Metro Vancouver
  • Schema markup (structured data) for local business visibility
  • GEO/AEO optimization so AI platforms surface the business in relevant queries
